Wonders of Morocco,
from Marrakech to the Sahara
From Marrakech to the Dadès Valley
Your adventure begins in Marrakech.
We will cross the Tizi N’Tichka pass, offering stunning views of the Atlas Mountains, before reaching the historic Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah.
It is a celebrated and protected example of traditional pre-Saharan habitat and architecture, having been designated a UNESCO site since 1987. The entire structure is built from local rammed earth (pisé) and adobe bricks, with high defensive walls and angled corner towers, giving it its distinct, majestic ochre color. It is a classic ksar (fortified village) where houses are clustered tightly together within the defensive ramparts, reflecting the communal and protective nature of its traditional design..
After a visit to the Ouarzazate film studios, we will continue towards the luxuriant Roses Valley to reach the Dadès Valley.
Dinner and overnight stay at a Riad in the Dadès Valley.
From the Dadès Gorges to the Merzouga Dunes
After breakfast, we will head towards the famous Todra Gorges,
a spectacular location perfect for walking.
The Todgha Gorges are a spectacular canyon carved by the Todgha River on the eastern side of the High Atlas Mountains. They are renowned for their towering, vertical limestone cliffs which can soar up to 300 to 400 meters (nearly 1,300 feet) high. The most dramatic section is a narrow, flat-bottomed passage where the canyon walls are sometimes only 10 meters (33 feet) apart, creating an awe-inspiring « sky slit. »
At the foot of the massive cliffs runs the clear, albeit often reduced to a trickle, Todgha River. This water source is vital, sustaining the vast and lush Tinghir Oasis that precedes the gorges. The stark contrast between the towering, arid rock and the abundant green of the palm groves (date palms, fig trees, almonds) below is one of the valley’s most captivating visual elements.
Beyond climbing, the gorges serve as a major starting point for various hiking and trekking adventures. Visitors can stroll along the canyon floor, follow the river into the gorge, or take multi-hour hikes into the surrounding mountain valleys to discover nomadic Berber settlements and enjoy stunning panoramic views.
In the afternoon, we will drive to Merzouga, where you will spend a relaxing night in a luxury riad before your grand desert adventure.
Dinner and overnight stay at a Riad in Merzouga.

Sahara Desert Exploration by 4x4 and Overnight Under the Stars
This day is dedicated to a deep exploration of the desert.
You will leave by 4×4 to discover the secrets of the Sahara. A stop in Khamlia will allow you to listen to the enchanting Gnawa music. In the afternoon, live the ultimate experience: a camel trek to your camp. After admiring the sunset, you will spend the night in the company of nomads, under a star-studded sky, while listening to their traditional music.
Dinner and overnight stay in the desert.
Return to Ouarzazate via the Drâa Valley
Get up early not to miss the sunrise over the dunes.
After a hearty breakfast, we will take the road back through the large Tafilalt oasis. You will then cross the towns of Alnif and Tazarine, and the spectacular Drâa Valley with its magnificent palm groves. You will spend the night in Ouarzazate.
Dinner and overnight stay at a Riad in Ouarzazate.

From Ouarzazate to Marrakech
For the last day of your tour, we will cross the Atlas Mountains and the Tizi N’Tichka pass again. The road offers superb panoramas before our arrival in Marrakech, where you will be dropped off at your riad or the airport.
