Imperial Cities and Desert Magic

Marrakech, the Red City

Your adventure begins in Marrakech.
After your transfer from the airport, you’ll have the day to explore the « Red City » at your own pace.

Marrakech is a city where you move from one world to another by crossing a gateway or taking a few steps: from the frantic bustle of the square to the serene calm
of a Riad or a garden, from the weight of history in the Medina to the contemporary dynamism of Guéliz.
It’s this blend of authenticity, colours, spice fragrances, and hospitality that makes it so unforgettable.

Discover the historical richness of this ancient Almoravid capital and soak up the unique atmosphere of the different neighbourhoods: the Medina, the heart of the city, the Gardens (Majorelle, La Palmeraie, Menara Gardens), and finally, the new city mixing modernity and luxury.

From Marrakech to the Historic Aït Benhaddou

We’ll hit the road to cross the Tizi N’Tichka pass, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains.
The journey will continue to the famous Aït Benhaddou Kasbah,
a fortified village classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site
and a very popular filming location.

It represents a remarkable example of pre-Saharan earthen architecture, with its ochre buildings and defensive towers. Historically, it was a strategic crossing point on the old caravan route connecting the Sahara to Marrakech.

Despite tourism, the site maintains a resident population and provides a valuable testament to the traditional culture and habitat of Southern Morocco.

From the Dades Gorges to the Merzouga Dunes

After visiting the Skoura oasis, we’ll head towards the Dades Valley and then to the magnificent Toudra Gorges (or Todgha Gorges), which are among the highest canyons in Morocco.

On Day 4, we will reach Merzouga, the gateway to the desert. In the afternoon, experience a camel ride for a magical night under the stars in a nomad camp in the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes.

Dinner and overnight stay at a Riad in the desert.

From the Erg Chebbi Desert to the Draa Valley

You will leave the dunes to explore unique desert landscapes. Passing through Rissani and Alnif, you will reach the magnificent Draa Valley before arriving in Zagora, a historical caravan crossroad. The following day, you will head towards Ouarzazate, known for its famous film studios and historical sites.
