From the High Atlas to the Desert Dunes
From Marrakesh to the Dadès Gorges
Your excursion begins with crossing the Tizi N’Tichka pass, which offers breathtaking views of the High Atlas mountains.
You will make a stop to visit the iconic Kasbah of
Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and
the setting for many famous films.
The journey continues to Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa,” where you can explore its famous film studios.
You will then cross the lush Valley of Roses before arriving in the magnificent Dadès Gorges, where you
will spend the evening.
Dinner and overnight stay at a Riad in the Dadès Gorges.
After breakfast, we will drive to the impressive Todra Gorges,
an ideal spot for a walk or, for the more adventurous, a climbing session.
The Todgha Gorges are a spectacular canyon carved by the Todgha River on the eastern side of the High Atlas Mountains. They are renowned for their towering, vertical limestone cliffs which can soar up to 300 to 400 meters (nearly 1,300 feet) high. The most dramatic section is a narrow, flat-bottomed passage where the canyon walls are sometimes only 10 meters (33 feet) apart, creating an awe-inspiring « sky slit. »
The afternoon is dedicated to the road to Merzouga, the gateway to the desert.
At the end of the day, prepare for the most memorable experience: a camel ride to admire the sunset over the immense dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will spend the night in a nomad camp, where traditional music and a star-filled sky will amaze you.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Riad in the desert.

From Merzouga to Marrakesh
Wake up early so you don’t miss the desert sunrise. After a traditional breakfast and a refreshing shower, we will hit the road again. We will cross the vast Tafilalt oasis and the magnificent Draâ Valley before returning to Marrakesh
The Draa Valley is defined by the Draa River (Oued Draa), Morocco’s longest river. While much of the river is dry further south, its middle stretch creates a stunning and massive oasis
a green ribbon of life stretching for nearly 200 kilometers between Ouarzazate and M’hamid. This area is characterized
by dense, lush palm groves, primarily date palms, that thrive against the backdrop of arid mountains and desert plateaus.
The trip will end after dropping you off at your hotel or the airport.
