From the Kasbahs to the Sahara
From Ouarzazate to the Todra Gorges
Your journey begins with an exploration of the lush
Skoura Oasis and its famous Kasbahs.
You will then take the picturesque « Road of 1000 Kasbahs »
and the Valley of Roses before arriving at the Dadès Gorges, where a beautiful stroll awaits you.
The tour will continue to the majestic Todra Gorges. Majestic limestone cliffs, carved by the Todgha River, rise up to 300
to 400 meters high, creating a narrow and dizzying canyon.
The bottom of the gorge is home to a luxuriant oasis and a verdant palm grove, offering a spectacular contrast with the steep, ocher rock faces. It’s a paradise for climbers and hikers,
set against the authentic backdrop of the Berber villages of the Moroccan High Atlas.
Dinner and overnight stay at a Riad in the Todra Gorges.
From the Todra Gorges to the Erg Chebbi Dunes
After breakfast, you will take the desert road towards Merzouga, passing through the towns of Erfoud and Rissani, renowned for their fossils.
Upon arrival, dromedaries will be waiting for you for an excursion into the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Although it is not the largest erg (sand sea) in Morocco
(Erg Chigaga, which is more isolated, is larger), Erg Chebbi stretches for about forty kilometers long and approximately five kilometers wide.
Erg Chebbi is famous for its majestic dunes which can reach impressive heights, going up to 150 to 160 meters.
The sand is known for its golden to reddish-ocher color, which changes hue throughout the day, offering unforgettable light shows at sunrise and sunset.
You will witness a memorable sunset before reaching your nomad camp for a night under the stars, enhanced by traditional music.
Dinner and overnight stay in the desert in Merzouga.

From Erg Chebbi to Ouarzazate via the Draa Valley
Wake up early to admire the sunrise over the dunes before beginning the journey back toward Ouarzazate.
The trip will introduce you to a wide variety of landscapes: the desert, the Anti-Atlas Mountains, and the immense Draa Valley with its 1,200 km of palm groves.
The valley is not only a natural wonder but a living museum, dotted with ancient, crumbling mud-brick kasbahs and fortified villages (ksour) that speak of a rich history as a crucial caravan route to Timbuktu.
It is a place of profound tranquility, where you can walk through the cool, shaded groves and witness the enduring Berber culture.
You will stop in the Berber village of N’kob. This village is famously known as « The Village of 45 Kasbahs, » boasting the highest concentration of these impressive, traditional mud-brick fortifications in Morocco. Your driver will drop you off at your Riad or the airport in Ouarzazate.
This concludes your « From the Kasbahs to the Sahara » tour.
