Marrakesh, the Red City
Your adventure begins in Marrakesh.
After your airport transfer, you’ll have the day to explore the‘Red City’ at your own pace.
Marrakesh is a must-see destination that combines a rich cultural heritage with a unique way of life, making it ideal for tourism in Morocco.
Its appeal lies in iconic locations such as the vibrant Jemaa el-Fna Square,
a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the architectural splendor of the Koutoubia Mosque.

From Marrakesh to the historic Aït Benhaddou
We will drive out to cross the Tizi N’Tichka pass, which offers stunning panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains.
The journey will continue toward the famous Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou, an iconic site for tourism in Morocco, which has
been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987.
This fortified mud-brick city, located in the Ounila Valley near Ouarzazate, is an exceptional example of traditional
pre-Saharan architecture.

From the Dadès Gorges to the Merzouga Dunes
After visiting the Skoura oasis, we will head towards
the Dadès Valley and then to the magnificent Toudra Gorges, which are among the highest canyons in Morocco.
On day 4, we will reach Merzouga, the gateway to the desert.
In the afternoon, enjoy a dromedary camel trek for a magical night under the stars in a nomad camp in the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Dinner and overnight in the desert
From the Erg Chebbi Desert to the Draa Valley
You will leave the dunes to explore unique desert landscapes.
Passing through Rissani and Alnif, you will reach the magnificent Draa Valley, a spectacular 200 km green oasis, born from the oued (river) of the same name.
It is an artery of life in the middle of the desert, famous for its immense date palm groves.
Along this valley, you will discover a succession of ksour (fortified villages) and mud-brick Kasbahs, testifying to its past as a major caravan trade route.
It is a destination that attracts travelers seeking authenticity, hiking, and desert landscapes.
You will arrive in Agdz, a historic caravan crossroads.
The following day, you will drive towards Ouarzazate, known for its famous film studios and historical sites.

Return to Marrakesh and Free Time
The return journey to Marrakesh will once again take you across the Atlas Mountains.
You will have free time to stroll, shop in the medina’s souks, and savor the delicious Moroccan cuisine.
The souks of Marrakesh are a fascinating maze of alleys in the medina, the vibrant heart of Moroccan trade and craftsmanship.
Organized into districts according to trades, they offer a unique glimpse into ancestral expertise.
You can find everything there: leather goods (slippers, bags, poufs) and leatherwork, pottery, Berber carpets, basketry, spices, as well as copper and wrought iron objects.
The experience is a sensory immersion among the bright colors, the intoxicating smells of spices, and the noise of workshops in full activity.
This is how your ‘Desert and Imperial Cities’ trip will come to
an end.
